Canaries from all parts of the world, like from London or Copenhagen and most
other cities in Europe. Grand Canary is the largest island of the Canary Islands
by population and has an area of
2.057 sq km and a population of almost 750.000. It’s situated 200 miles off the
west coast of North West Africa at about 28 degrees latitude and 16.5 degrees
longitude. Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands, of volcanic
origins and dominated by Mount Teide with a height of 3.718 meters and its
mighty crater, with a diameter of 20 kilometers, in its center. At the sides of
the montain range which crosses the island there are extremely fertile valleys
with important plantations of bananas and tomatoes. Tenerife's coastline is
typically rugged and steep, however there are as well almost 70 kilometers of
fine sand beaches, in particular in the islands' south, with Playa de las
Americas and Los Cristianos among the best known. Playa de las Americas,
offers fabulous beaches of sand as well as the most modern infrastructure for
tourism.
Playa de los Cristianos. Fine beaches of golden sand and crystalline
water. Its outstanding infrastructure makes it one of the most attractive places
for visitors.

Close to Santa Cruz there are the beaches Las Gaviotas, a small nudist beach
with black sand, and Las Teresitas, a popular beach in the north of Tenerife
with golden sand and palm trees.
Puerto de la Cruz, there is the famous Costa Martianez with its large
artificial pond, Lago Martianez
Maspalomas beach, approx six kilometers long with its fine
white sand, width of up to 1000 meters, and intensely blue sea, a paradise
for sunworshippers! Playa del Inglés is Next to Maspalomas, length of 2.700 meters.
This is one of the most famous beaches of all the Canary island's beaches.San Agustín. An ideal place to recover from the stress of everyday
life.
Playa de Patalavaca. Another great beach with fine sand of golden
color.
Puerto Rico with many sport facilities, which are one of its main
attractions.
Costa de Bañaderos. Beautiful landscape with romantical small
bays.
Galdar with a bizarre high coast.
Sardina del Mar, a picturesque fishing-village with nice beaches.
Playa de las Canteras, a wide sand beach approx 2600 meters long,
located directly in the capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Playa de las Nieves. Nieve means snow in Spanish language, and
this name comes from the high mountains directly behind this beach.
